Annual Fund & Memorial / Honor Gifts

These gifts directly benefit VIM operations. While the vast majority of our services are provided by volunteers, a small staff is necessary to coordinate care.

Memorial / Honor Gifts honor the individual(s) of your choice. The honoree or the family of a loved one receives a card regarding the gift.

Stocks, Bonds, & Mutual Funds

Stocks, bonds or mutual funds offer a way to both give to VIM and receive tax benefits based on the asset’s value. Electronic funds transfer is available. For more information call Joel Henderson, VIM Executive Director at 423-855-8220 or email info@vim-chatt.org.

Estate Planning

Planned gifts are deferred gifts made through a bequest in your will. The gift may be a percentage of your estate, a specific dollar amount, or a gift of specific assets like real estate or art. You may also give through your life insurance policy an option with significant financial and tax benefits. It is very important that the bequest language include the exact legal name of the charity and its complete address.

When including a bequest provision in your will, always use the full legal name and provide the federal taxpayer identification number – this is especially important because there are many Volunteers in Medicine Clinics around the country. Our full, legal name is: “Volunteers in Medicine, Chattanooga, Inc.” Our federal tax identification number is: 71-0959332.
