BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteers in Medicine, Chattanooga would not be possible without the hundreds of devoted volunteers dedicated to our mission of healing. Our volunteers are the heart and soul of all that we do here at the Clinic. From the screeners, nurses, physicians, schedulers, and others, a patient often sees 6-8 caring individuals during a visit to the Clinic.

Each year, volunteer physicians, nurses, lab techs, and other medical and lay volunteers make the decision to dedicate their time and their talents to VIM Chattanooga. Since VIM's clinic doors opened in 2005, this passionate group of volunteers has offered over 162,000 hours of service to help others in need, making possible more than 76,000 patient visits.

Our dedicated team of compassionate volunteers all share common qualities. They enjoy interacting with a variety of people, are passionate about helping those in need, and serve with hearts of caring and compassion. They have positive attitudes and share a common commitment to care for our needy patients with dignity, courtesy, and thoughtful consideration.
